LG Gives Nod To Acb For Prosecution Against Five Pwd Engineers In Corruption Case – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has given prosecution sanction to the Anti-Corruption Branch for investigation against five engineers of the Public Works Department in a case of corruption related to construction work in government hospitals. Officials of Raj Niwas gave this information on Monday.

The accused include two assistant engineers and three junior engineers of the Electrical Division of the Public Works Department (PWD) of the Delhi government. Officials said, ‘Investigation against the engineers related to the FIR lodged on May 6 this year has been sanctioned. It is estimated that there was a loss of Rs 200 crore to the government exchequer due to the scam related to the works related to hospitals of Delhi government.

The complaint alleged that the accused engineers helped their favorite companies in awarding tenders under the guise of casual work in various Delhi government hospitals Lok Nayak, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Science, GB Pant and Maulana Azad Medical College. Officials claimed that the investigation conducted so far has found that the accused engineers had cleared payments for them using ‘fake bills’.
